The 90 male students of the English LIVE programs held made their way to PRIME Cinemas to fill the closing paper of their English LIVE sustainability assignment. Before the 6 highest achievers won their prizes, everyone enjoyed a 3D showing of John Carter.

90 girls gathered from Wahdat, Ashrafiyeh and Jabal Nuzha for the closing event of our English LIVE program. The girls began with the program closing assignment which was followed by a 3D viewing of Lorax and prizes for 6 winners!

15 mothers from Shuneh who support their family and community through cultural handicrafts were honored for Mother’s Day by visiting the Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea for lunch, relaxation and gifts.

In conclusion of this phase of the project, we would like to highlight the HSBC Bank for their sponsorship of six English LIVE programs which have already created life-long impact for 184 children and youth around Jordan.

From 1:00-4:00 PM, 32 girls from Jabal Nuzha participated and graduated from the sixth program of English LIVE.

32 boys from Jabal Nuzha benefitted from the fifth program of English LIVE run from 9:00-1:00 PM. Participants all received their certificates before returning home.

75 children gathered from Bayader, Ashrafiyeh and Amman for a morning of fun with EOI volunteers at PRIME Cinemas. Children enjoyed games, coloring, face painting, balloons and more before enjoying a 3D showing of Journey 2.

As part of the Equal Opportunity Initiative, Bullyproof Little Warriors was launched today, in cooperation with Team Mirza. This Self Defense/Anti-Bullying curriculum involves 18 classes of 90 minutes each provided for 25 orphan children from Mabarrat Um Al Hussein and marks the first of the series of classes sponsored by Samarah Dead Sea Resort.

30 boys from Ashrafiyeh benefitted from the fourth program of English LIVE run from 12:00-4:00 PM, enjoying lunch, snacks, drinks as well as full submersion in conversational English, being exposed to costumes, cultures and concepts from all around the world.

Run from 9:00-12:00 AM, 30 girls from Ashrafiyeh participated and graduated from our third program of English LIVE. Playing games, charades, expressing thoughts, giving and receiving instructions were all part of the program to encourage thinking and communicating confidently in English.

Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea hosted the Equal Opportunity Initiative volunteer team who enjoyed lunch and hotel amenities in celebration of the milestone successes of 2011.

Our volunteer team shares in the successes of 54 events organized for over 4,000 marginalized children, creating sustainable impact in communities throughout the region.

30 boys from Grade 7-10 from Wahdat Camp attended our second English LIVE program for 2012. This innovative training program is designed to build self confidence, boost communication skills and equip children and youth with needed English language skills and etiquette that can open up opportunities to ensure future success in their lives.

First session of English LIVE for 2012. Held in Wahdat Camp, attended by 30 girls from the age of 11-15, along with teachers and caregivers in cooperation with UNWRA. This program marks the first of six English LIVE programs to be held in the first quarter of 2012, sponsored by the HSBC Bank for youth throughout Jordan.

150 underprivileged children visited PRIME cinemas and simply had a blast at Equal Opportunity’s fun stations, enjoying specialized games with Right to Play, Santa’s awesome company, gifts, chocolates and more, all ending with watching Puss in Boots in 3D.

December 4th saw the successful launch of phase two of the ‘Make a Smile’ project. With over 100 orphan children celebrating their traditional holiday with volunteers and gifts from Oxford Schools, they enjoyed Jingo’s Jungle entertainment, received presents from Santa, refreshments and more. This event marks the first of many more events benefitting over 500 underprivileged children during the month of December.
