The Equal Opportunity Community Initiative achieves the impact it does in the communities it serves through the hard work of its volunteers; with the active engagement of ordinary citizens who share our belief in a brighter and happier future for all; and by leveraging its incredible partnerships to create truly meaningful change in so many children’s lives. Here are some of our recent projects.
We were extremely proud to open our fourth educational development centre in Kenya. These centres train youth in the essential competencies that their future employers will be looking for, enabling them to create a better future for themselves.
Thanks to a generous donation of computers from the Electronic Recycling Association, we will be running a skills training program in schools and community centres in and around the Greater Toronto Area.
Smiles were brought to the faces of so many children, as members of the Equal Opportunity team unveiled the new library offering books, board games, puzzles and a librarian’s computer in the hopes of encouraging literacy and the pursuit of knowledge.
