This was easily one of our favourite experiences of the year.
Local communities enjoyed our free haircut event in cooperation with I BARBIERI, one of the top barbershops in Toronto that saw many of Toronto’s most vulnerable get freshened up and feeling great ahead of the holidays.
For many children in disadvantaged communities, the single biggest thing that’s missing in their daily lives is the freedom to just have fun and be a kid. We believe everyone, and youth especially, deserve a break from the pressures of poverty.
We were extremely proud to open our fourth educational development centre in Kenya. These centres train youth in the essential competencies that their future employers will be looking for, enabling them to create a better future for themselves.
Thanks to a generous donation of computers from the Electronic Recycling Association, we will be running a skills training program in schools and community centres in and around the Greater Toronto Area.
